A CHANDLER’S Ford woman killed herself with an overdose of prescription pills, an inquest heard.
Amanda Foreman, 45, was found dead at her home in Hurst Close, Chandler’s Ford, last October.
She had heart problems and overdosed on her drugs on October 10, and was discovered by her partner Helen Craig at around 8pm.
The inquest heard Miss Foreman, a nurse at Southampton General Hospital, had been struggling with stress because her 20-year relationship was breaking down.
Both her father Terrence Foreman and Miss Craig told the inquest she showed no suicidal thoughts.
Mr Foreman, who spoke to her the day before she died, said: “She seemed perfectly normal. I wouldn’t say happy, but normal.”
Assistant deputy coroner Sarah Whitby said she had to record a verdict of suicide because of Miss Foreman’s medical knowledge and a suicide note found at the scene.
