A VICTIM of Alresford auction house boss Charlie Evans has launched a legal claim to retrieve her lost money.
Toni Parkes, of Odiham, claims she is owed £1,980 from Prospect Auction Rooms in Alresford for goods it sold last autumn.
In her claim form Ms Parkes says she entrusted 55 lots to Prospect for sale on September 1 and September 15, including glassware and furniture.
Mr Evans denies he was the boss of Prospect and therefore cannot be held liable for the business’s debts.
He had planned to open a similar auction business in Winnall but following publicity in the Daily Echo the landlords decided not to sign a lease with him. He was unavailable for comment.
