The Ex-Saints Association treated a group of young carers from Southampton to a memorable day out at Paultons Park.
The children, who spend their spare time looking after parents who suffer from severe health problems or disability, were looked after by a host of star names.
Former Saints players such as Matt Le Tissier, Gordon Watson, David Hughes, Denis Hollywood and Hugh Fisher all helped take the 32 young carers, aged from eight to 13, round the theme park.
The Ex-Saints Association organised and funded the day, with chairman Mike Thew saying: “It was fantastic, it was a tremendous success.
“To see those kids’ faces was amazing. They were so excited when they got there, it was fantastic.
“It was one of those days that really touched your heart.”
