Drink-drive arrest
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a vehicle was said to have hit a barrier on the M27.
Police were called by a member of the public who reported seeing a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van collide with a barrier near junction eight coming westbound at 7.50pm, on Sunday. A vehicle was subsequently stopped in Bassett Green Road after coming off at Junction 5.
A 30-year-old man, from Southampton, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries until July 10.
