Police have today named a teenager killed in a road crash in Hampshire.

Luke Pitt died after the car he was driving hit a tree on the A323 Fleet Road between Fleet and Aldershot during the early hours of Saturday.

The 18-year-old, of the Lea in Fleet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front seat passenger, a 27-year-old man from Farnborough, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting.

Their red Vauxhall Astra was travelling east towards Aldershot when it came off the road and collided with the tree at 12.55am.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Astra prior to it.
