A SOUTHAMPTON man was given a 12 months conditional discharge at Winchester Crown Court after police found he had grown seven cannabis plants at his home.

James Hickman, 45, of Victoria Road, admitted producing cannabis which Judge Peter Ralls QC accepted had been for personal use.
