JOHN Jones, singer with multiaward- winning, folk-rock giants Oysterband, has been joined by a host of other musicians and friends to walk the South Downs Way from Eastbourne to Winchester, stopping off to play a gig each evening.
He arrives at The Railway in Winchester tomorrow night.
John’s band, The Reluctant Ramblers comprises Dil Davies (Oysterband’s drummer); Al Scott (Oysterband producer) and Tim Cotterell (who plays with McDermott’s 2 hours and with Martha Tilston and the Woods).
Joining them for this gig will be Boff from Chumbawamba and Rowan Godel, who sang on John’s solo album Rising Road.
