A SPITFIRE fly-past will be the precursor to a memorial service in a Hampshire town for those killed in the Second World War.
The service for armed forces and civilians from Gosport who died during the 1939-1945 conflict, takes place on Sunday, June 9 at Ann’s Hill Cemetery, in Gosport.
It will include a reading of the names of 122 local people who died.
The fly-past will take place shortly before the service, in the cemetery, off Ann’s Hill Road, at 11am and those taking part should be in place by 10.50am.
Mayor of Gosport Cllr John Beavis and Queen’s representative Admiral Sir Jonathon Band will be present.
