ANOTHER firm has been brought on board by the team looking to build Titanic II.

Australian billionaire Clive Palmer has announced that Lloyd’s Register will review design and safety features for the new liner.

The company will provide important advice on the structure, stability and safety of Titanic II, which is set to sail from Southampton in 2016.

Lloyd’s Register has more than 250 years of experience of working with passenger ships, and its staff will review design drawings, calculations and studies for Titanic II.

The ship, which will be an exact replica of the vessel which sank in April, 1912, is currently being built at a shipyard in China.
