In a production of adult themes and content, Blag It! Theatre Company’s response to the Vagina Monologues was a frank, intimate and often funny meditation on the male member.
Mixing stories that take us from adolescence to the challenges of maturity and experience, with celebrations of manhood, mad facts and a unique adaptation on a Pam Ayres' poem, this was certainly an evening with a difference.
Simply staged, excellent use was made of film footage and sound.
The cast of eight, with their red, white, blue and green teams, were a relaxed ensemble, while Tony Joyce, Paul Green and Alec Harkness as the three storytellers delivered some of the most amusing moments.
Director Tony Webb, in his first foray into this role, kept the action tight and balanced with expert precision the gear changes between the pieces.
