THE FURRY mascot of Hampshire’s ambulance service has been officially named.
Schoolchildren across the county had been challenged by South Central Ambulance Service to come up with a name for their mascot, a white bear, wearing the green uniform of a paramedic.
The competition was part of the trust’s work with primary school children.
The winning name was chosen by Phoebe Moulton, who came up with the name 999 TED.
The runner up was Ne, Na – The NHS Bear, put forward by Ethan Johnson.
