A MAN found hanged in a New Forest beauty spot had been due in court over £2,000 rent arrears, an inquest heard.
Harvey Thompson, 48, was found by a walker in Ashley Walk car park, near Godshill, a remote site popular with tourists.
On the morning of October 29 this year, police cordoned off the car park and searched the body, finding ID and keys which they used to enter Mr Thompson’s home in Pembridge House in Fordingbridge.
No suicide letter was found but a court summons regarding unpaid rent arrears was discovered.
Coroner Keith Wiseman ruled that Mr Thompson had taken his own life.
