THIEVES have taken fishing gear worth £3,000.
They broke into a shed in Campbell Way, Fair Oak, after getting into the back garden through a back gate.
The carp fishing equipment is a mixture of tackle, roads and alarms and was in five separate dark green JRC bags.
The 31-year-old owner had put the bags into a wheelbarrow and had planned to go fishing the day he made the discovery.
The theft happened between 11pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday. Call Eastleigh Police on 101.
