PUPILS at a Southampton school donned hard hats and high visibility gear to learn how houses are built.
The group of 12 students aged five to 12, from Redbridge Primary School, went to Raglan Housing’s new development in Studland Road, Southampton.
They also learned the dangers of playing on a construction site as part of the visit.
Deputy head teacher Anna O’Sullivan said: “The children had a great time on site and loved learning about how the machines worked and being the first to see inside the brand new homes.
“They were also very impressed with their new safety gear, which they plan to show the rest of the school, along with the safety messages they learnt, in an assembly.”
