A CHARITY weekend at an iconic Hampshire hotel raised more than £30,000 for Help for Heroes.
Chris and Alison Wilson, owners of the Balmer Lawn Hotel in Brockenhurst, allowed a takeover of the entire venue for the whole weekend to host the events.
There was a ladies lunch, a charity ball, a jazz and blues fest, which featured a host of local bands, and an online auction.
The event raised a total of £30,348.48 for the charity.
Organiser Elaine Husband said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the individuals and companies who supported this event with their generous donations. “Our recent visit to Help for Heroes confirmed that it is essential to continue fundraising for our wounded servicemen and women; physical and mental injuries are often for life and therefore support is necessary long after troops have been withdrawn from the battlefield.”
