Firefighters have tackled a fire at a Southampton home.
Two fire engines are currently outside the detached property in Lordswood Road, Lordshill where the alarm was raised at around 7.40am.
Firefighters are currently setting up fans to ventilate the property.
There are several windows open and the inside of the house appears severely blackened.
Firefighters have also put tape up around the property.
Sgt Chris Taylor from Southampton Central police said there was no-one in the property at the time.
Police said it appeared the fire had started downstairs.
They are now trying to locate the homeowner and find out how it started.
Lordswood Road is currently closed to traffic from Dale Valley Road to Hill Lane and vehicles are being diverted.
