IF you suffer from snoring or are fed up with being kept awake by your partner’s nocturnal noises there might just be an answer – singing!
Joining a local Rock Choir can help boost people’s mental health and wellbeing as well as reduce snoring, according to research by the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.
Jan Moll, leader of the Rock Choir in Chandler’s Ford, Fareham, Swanmore and Winchester, said: “Singing helps to exercise and strengthen muscles in the soft palette, which is where the snoring vibration occurs.”
She said members often told her how being in the choir was helping them to feel happier, increase confidence and even lose weight.
Rock Choir is the UK’s largest contemporary choir, with more than 16,000 members in more than 250 local communities. New terms start from today and to find out more call 01252 714 276 or visit Rock Choir’s website rockchoir.com.
