FIRE crews battled through the night to contain a huge blaze at a Hampshire industrial estate.
More than 80 Firefighters from across Hampshire were sent to GEA Searles at Colingwood Retail Park in Fareham at around 11.45pm to reports of a fire.
A total of 15 pumps, including water carriers, from across battled through the night to extinguish the blaze at the refrigeration unit on Frankport Way.
The fire is still ongoing but it has been contained and surrounded.
Control operators mobilised fifteen appliances from Fareham, Gosport, Portchester, Cosham, Eastleigh, Redbridge, Hightown, Wickham, Waterlooville, Southsea, Botley, Droxford, Emsworth and St Mary’s Fire Station.
Also called out was the fire service Materials Detection Identification and Monitoring Team (HAZMAT).
Incident Commander Area Manager Steve Foye said: “More than 80 firefighters have tackled the blaze since it broke out at around 23:45 last night.
"At this time the incident is still on-going but the fire is now contained and crews are dampening down.”
At this time the cause of the fire is not yet known. There have been no injuries.
