A MAJOR road was closed and the air ambulance called after a motorcycle crash in a Hampshire village.
The accident took place on the A35 in Lyndhurst shortly before 4pm and the air ambulance helicopter was called to the scene after the collision between a car and the motorcycle.
Police closed the road between Bolton's Bench and the bottom of the one way system in the village centre.
But officers have confirmed the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and the air ambulance was redeployed as it was not needed.
The road is now open again but traffic is still clearing.
