GEOFF Bamber’s comic fantasy adventure presented a whole new spin on the Alice in Wonderland story, as Megan slid down a hole to the Underland.
Parodying science fiction and James Bond, with a couple of Matrix enemy agents in the mix, Megan discovered why the world spins and why the missing key was the key to this.
The well designed set and excellent use of effects and sound perfectly captured the spirit of this mad fantasy world.
The action moved along briskly and in spite of a few nerves the cast’s enthusiasm and enjoyment shone through.
Kaya Finch (Megan) made a suitably perky and witty heroine, while James Revis had a cheeky charm as the street kid Elvis. Joe Cann carried off the role of the aptly named Dirk Smirk rather well, ably matched by Tara Barton-Leigh as his right-hand assistant Captain Tremaine.
Comic fun.
