Tea party to mark D-Day celebrations
D-DAY celebrations will start in Southampton today with a tea party at the Round About Cafe in Mansbridge.
Housing provider, Radian is throwing a commemoration event with a 1940s theme to celebrate the 70th anniversary of D-Day.
Staff will dress up for the occasion and there will also be music from the Radian Singers choir and wartime puddings, a war veteran of the Normandy landings will also be attending.
The Round About Remembers event will run from 1pm - 4pm and gives residents a chance to come and share their memories and experiences of Southampton during the war.
