Despite having acted alongside Harrison Ford, Tim Grimm comes to Twickfolk, in a new location, this month to play his traditional country tunes.
Grimm appeared alongside Ford in 1994 film Clear and Present Danger and has also shared the stage with poet Wendell Berry.
His recording the Back Fields was named Best Americana Album in the 2006 Just Plain Folks Music Awards in Los Angeles, the largest music awards in the world.
Now living with his wife and sons on a farm, Grimm's songs are full of rural ramblings and national romance.
Critics have compared him to the likes of Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie and Nebraska-era Bruce Springsteen.
Catch the man, whose past five recordings have reached the top of the folk or American roots charts, in Twickenham later this month.
Tim Grimm; Twickfolk, Lovers Light gallery, Twickenham Green; June 29, 8pm; tickets £10 on the door; visit twickfolk.co.uk for more information.
