A MAN died days after he split with his partner of five years, an inquest heard.
Christopher Gander was living with Alison Salter in Newlands Road, New Milton, before she split up with the 58-year-old due to his temper, Southampton Coroner’s Court heard.
Mr Gander had been a lorry driver until four years ago when he was in an accident and subsequently lost his licence when it was found he was suffering from a sleeping disorder.
On May 1 this year, three days after splitting up with Mrs Salter, police found him losing consciousness in Longslade View car park near Sway. He died in hospital. Coroner Grahame Short recorded a verdict of suicide.
