A HAMPSHIRE man is pedalling from London to Paris in aid of the charity for which he works.
Nick Armitage from Romsey has set off on the 120-mile cycle in aid of UKYouth.
The 52-year-old is the charity’s manager of National Youth Achievement Foundations (YAFS), based at Avon Tyrell in the New Forest.
The charity provides vocational training and life skills for vulnerable young people, many of whom have been excluded from mainstream education.
Nick is an experienced cyclist and before he took on a national role would often ride the 40-mile round trip from his home in Romsey to Avon Tyrell and back.
The father of two will be one of 11 cycling for UK Youth.
He has already raised £3,500 in sponsorship but is aiming to raise £12,500, which is the cost for one young person to attend a year’s course with YAFS.
