A TEENAGER dreaming of a trip to Cambodia notched up 80 miles with her friend in a frantic fundraising frenzy at The Furlong.
Tazmin Hollands, 15, and her friend Chloe Hesford cycled on a static bike, alternating for 30- minute bursts, and by the end of the eight hours they had raced to 75 miles between them but were determined to get up to 80 miles and carried on.
With sponsorship and donations on the day Tazmin, pictured right, managed to raise more than £425, with donations still coming in.
A pupil at Burgate School in Fordingbridge, Tazmin will be travelling for a month next summer, living as part of the rural community in Beng Mealea near Siem Reap in Cambodia and taking part in a number of environmental, conservation and community projects.
She has to self-fund the £4,200 cost of the trip and so far she has had a baked bean bath, held a cake sale, packed bags and put on a fashion show.
