THE last century was celebrated in style at the annual Totton and Eling Carnival.
Hundreds of residents lined the streets to see creatively-constructed floats make their way from Calmore to the Eling Recreation Ground.
The theme for this year's carnival was celebrating an era from the last 100 years, and the floats featured themes such as the hippy heyday of the late 1960s and the Second World War.
A vintage London Routemaster bus, steam engines, the town's carnival princesses, local Scouts, Guides, Beavers, cadets and the Saints Disabled Supporters Association all formed part of the colourful procession yestersday afternoon.
Meanwhile, members of Totton Running Club took part in a 5k run between the start and finish venues of the carnival to mark the club's 30th anniversary.
And there was a host of amusements for carnival-goers to enjoy after the procession as the Charles Cole Fun Fair took over Eling Recreation Ground.
