Pensioner in court for downloading images of children
A SOUTHAMPTON man was found with pictures of children – just days after receiving a suspended sentence for a similar offence.
Police making a check on Robert Young discovered that he had downloaded about 1,500 images of youngsters aged from five to 13, the city Crown Court heard.
Young, 67, of Arthur Road, Shirley, admitted possessing the material. Judge Peter Ralls QC jailed him for ten months and activated six months of the original eight-month sentence to run consecutively.
