MILK flowed through a Hampshire village last night as giant trolleys spilt off a lorry.

Bishop's Waltham's main streets were turned into a milky way as the spillage stretched for a quarter of a mile.

The drama began at about 9.30pm when nine trolleys, each containing about 100 pints of milk, started toppling off the back of the lorry.

It happened as the delivery lorry was journeying along the B2177.

More than 20 firefighters from Bishop's Waltham, Droxford, Botley, Winchester and Eastleigh, were involved as a huge mopping up operation swung into action.
