A TRUSTEE of the Littleton Millennium Memorial Hall has said he is determined to help boost its income.
Stan Boyce, who was appointed as a trustee last month, said he thinks installing solar panels on the roof could help the hall become more profitable.
He said: “Initial investigations show that it would probably be a 15 per cent return on putting solar panels on the roof on the south side, above the left door and conference rooms.
It’s the perfect position for solar panels – it gets 180 degrees of sunlight.
“There are solar farms being built in villages all over the place, we have the opportunity to do it on a structure that’s already there.”
He said the panels could fund the hall’s heating, and would cost £12,000 to install.
