EMERGENCY services were called to deal with a three-vehicle collision on a main Southampton road.
Police and ambulances rushed to the scene of the collision on Cobden Avenue, outside the Bitterne Park Hotel, at 1.15pm.
The crash involved a blue Nissan Micra, a blue Vauxhall Astra and a grey Hyundai Couple.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said that a man was treated at the scene for shock and taken to Southampton General Hospital.
The road was blocked until the scene was cleared at about 2.10pm.
