Buttons (Matt Lock) held the audience in the palm of his hand from curtain-up to finale. With a warm singing voice, he also proved he could rap.

Fairy Godmother (Nicole Cummins) held court close to the audience; a laptop and a mobile phone proved useful aids when casting spells and Nicole treated us to a superb rendition of Oh So Quiet.

The absence of a stepmother in this particular version gave the Baron and his two stepdaughters much more opportunity to shine, which they did.

In pulling all the strands of this well-loved story together, producer/director Mark Lock and his talented cast gave the audience a thoroughly entertaining panto.
