A CHAMPION Hampshire dog breeder has consulted her solicitor and experts to appeal to the High Court to save her dogs' home.

She has vowed to risk everything to protect the welfare of her beloved huskies after a Southampton Crown Court judge last week ordered that her kennels on the Waterside must be soundproofed and the dogs locked up at night.

As reported in the Daily Echo, the howling of the 31 Siberian dogs has been at the centre of a ten-year noise row with neighbours and council officials.

Owner Jenny Manley and husband Albert say that the legal battle has already cost them more than £100,000.

They are determined to appeal against the latest order, even if that means losing their home at Netley View Villas, Hythe.

"It's a welfare issue," Mrs Manley said.

"If we had a million dollars we could do it. But we haven't enough room to put the dogs in our kennels overnight."

Mrs Manley has called back the experts used in her failed bid to overturn the decision of a district judge at New Forest Magistrates' Court. The judge ruled that the dawn and dusk howling of the dogs constituted a nuisance to neighbours.

Mrs Manley said that her legal team was likely to come to a decision on an appeal next week.

The Manleys have been breeding Siberian huskies since 1973. Each female produces a litter of between four and five puppies every other year.
