FIREFIGHTERS were called in to deal with a fire in a branch of a sandwich restaurant franchise.
They attended Subway in Fareham’s High Street to deal with the blaze.
Two workers inside raised the alarm, at 6.30am yesterday, but were outside the premises by the time firefighters arrived.
When the two crews arrived from Fareham they did not have to put the fire out, but did vent the property to get rid of the smoke.
A firefighter who attended said the cause was not yet known, but said no one was hurt.
