A HAMPSHIRE MP has welcomed a document looking at numeracy in the UK.

A paper on the subject was put together by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Maths and Numeracy which Caroline Dinenage, MP for Gosport, established at the beginning of the year.

Caroline said: “With an estimated cost to the UK economy of £20 billion per year, the group’s first publication sheds light on the need to address poor numeracy urgently.”
