A major scheme to improve a junction in Alresford has been delayed until early in 2015.
The county council has recently approved work on the Jacklyns Lane/West Street junction.
But taking into account traffic regulation orders, the tender procedure and preparations, the work is not expected before January at the earliest, said a council spokeswoman.
The project includes a zebra crossing, a new crossing point, an improved bus stop and widened footways.
