IT is the highlight of the amateur dramatics calendar and this year's Daily Echo Curtain Call Awards are shaping up to be a star-studded affair.
Guest host Syd Little, one half of comedy duo Little and Large, will be presenting awards at tonight's glittering event at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium.
The veteran comic will be joined by star of stage and screen Craig McLachlan, who has been enjoying box office success in the Mayflower's White Christmas.
Daily Echo editor Ian Murray and entertainments editor Lorelei Reddin will host the hotly-anticipated awards evening, giving actors, actresses, directors, costume and set designers, choreographers and other contributors the chance to shine.
The awards, sponsored by Lite Relief, are now in their eighth year.
Previous guest hosts have included George Baker, Vicki Michelle, Julie Peasgood, Isla St Claire and David Benson.
