RESIDENTS in Overton are being given their say on the village’s new neighbourhood plan.

First drafts of the proposals were released at the end of last month and villagers will now be able to voice their opinions during a four-week public consultation.

The plans, which have been put together by Overton’s neighbourhood plan group, detail how the village should be developed over the next 15 years, including when and where housing should be built.

Some 270 homes are set to be developed in the village during that period but the group are hoping that these will be phased in slowly and over a number of different sites, with 13 different areas earmarked for small developments.

All villagers will be given a copy of the plan with their monthly “News and Views” and can provide their feedback by filling out a form on the back of the newsletter.

Completed forms should be submitted to the letterbox at 14 Winchester Street.

Residents can view the full version of the plan and submit their views via Overton Parish Council’s website: overtonparishcouncil.
