He was due to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court today.
It follows the discovery of the weapon at a property in Tottenham Lane, Haringey, during a police operation on Thursday.
A loaded Mac 10 machine gun was found containing a magazine with 30 rounds of ammunition and a bag containing 25 rounds.
Two men and two women were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to endanger life.
