HUNDREDS of panto goers had to be evacuated midway through a performance due to a fire alarm.
There were reports of a burning smell during the performance of Robin Hood at The Point in Eastleigh this afternoon.
Audience members were evacuated to the adjacent park while firefighters investigated the scene for the source of the smell.
Cast members from the Mounbatten Players kept spirits up by entertaining the crowds as they waited to be allowed back in.
The theatre was evacuated shortly before 12.30pm and everyone was back inside by 1pm.
