COUNCILLORS have approved plans to create ten new flats at a development in Southampton.
Raj Roath had applied to the city council to add an extra storey containing ten flats to Burlington Mansions in Shirley Road.
A number of objections were made to the plans, with residents and two ward councillors worried over its visual impact and potential effect on parking.
However, the city council’s planning and rights of way panel voted to approve the plans at a meeting.
