TWO people have been charged by police after a man was stabbed in Southampton.

Nathaniel Miller, 21, of East Dulwich Road, London and Rachel Gordon, 42, of Golden Grove, Southampton have been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent, and will appear at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning

Officers were called to the incident at 9.08am after a 34-year-old man received stab wounds during an assault on the Golden Grive estate.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment, where his injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.

Two other people, a man and a woman from Southampton, have been released without charge.
