Hundreds of youngsters took to the stage for the final night of Rock Challenge in Southampton last night.
Seven schools compete in the last heat of a week long series of performances at Southampton Guildhall.
Halterworth Primary School from Romsey were awarded first place with their performance 'Into the Woods…and beyond'
The school, last year's Southern J Rock™ champions, mesmerized the audience with their retelling of Orpheus's battle to save Eurydice from the underworld.
This production with stunning costumes, intricate choreography, and high levels of performance skill has qualified them through to the 2015 Southern J Rock™ Final held at Portsmouth Guildhall in June.
In second place were Calmore Junior School, pictured above.
They performed 'Wave of terror', a piece that told the story of the people who lost their lives in the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.

Third place was presented to Shirley Junior School for their piece 'Ignite the Dream' which told the story of a girl's quest to become a firework maker.
The event, held at Southampton Guildhall, attracted an audience of more than 1,000 and was supported by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire, Hampshire Constabulary, Association of Chief Police Officers Criminal Records Office, Hampshire County Council, Southampton City Council, Hampshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team, HC3S and Hampshire Healthy Schools.
Southampton City Council Member for Education and Change, Councillor Daniel Jeffery said: “It's been a really breath-taking evening and all of the acts have been absolutely first class.
“I'm really pleased that Southampton City Council have been able to support it and I'm a little bit lost for words really, it was that good! We're really pleased to be part of this event, it was so professional, really well done and we look forward to supporting it in the years ahead.”
