SAINTS legend Matt Le Tissier is considering number crunching as a contestant on Countdown.
The former Southampton star has already appeared on the show in the Dictionary Corner on the long-running TV game show on Channel 4.
But now the 46-year-old who scored more than 200 goals for Saints is hoping to go one better put his skills to the test in front of former Apprentice supremo Nick Hewer.
Le Tissier said: “I’ve been twice in dictionary corner and I’ve just got the form through to apply as a contestant on Countdown.”
“I’m seriously thinking about it. The numbers are my strongest bit. Apart from sport, Maths was my strongest subject at school.”
“When I was on there before, none of the contestants, or Rachel Riley, got one of the numbers games. I managed to get it though. You can go on Youtube and have a look.”
