A PENSIONER has died after crashing his vehicle following what police believe was a medical episode.
The 85-year-old man was driving a Skoda Fabia which collided with a parked Ford Fiesta in Park Lane, Stubbington casuing minor damage.
He was taken ill and taken to hospital by ambulance in a life threatening condition, but was later pronounced dead at queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, Portsmouth.
Police are investigating the incident but believe at this time he suffered a medical episode at the wheel.
Officers closed off the road for around two hours following the incident shortly after 11am this morning.
South Central Ambulance Service confirmed it had sent a ambulance, ambulance officer and rapid response vehicle to the incident.
