SIX college bands are going centre stage at a gig organised by students.
The Fareham College Showcase has been set up by youngsters on the college's national diploma in music practice.
They have organised everything from booking the venue, ticket sales, poster design, and promotion to technical support.
The showcase is at The Cellars at Eastney, Portsmouth on Tuesday. Fareham head of music Mike Fowler said they hoped to break even, or make a small profit.
The six bands on stage are The Proles, Hawky and The Hoooks (HOOOKS), Wrong Turn, Broken Down, The Vision and Mucky Fingers. All six were formed at the college as part of the course.
Mucky Fingers were joint silver medal winners at last year's UK Skills Challenge Battle of the Bands final. Drummer James Birt also won UK Young Drummer of the Year.
Student Dan Kennedy, 18, of Gosport, said the project had been hard work.
