POLICE have arrested a 16-year-old youth following the stabbing of a teenager outside a Southampton shopping centre.
The arrest comes after another 16-year-old boy sustained minor puncture wounds to his chest and lower body during a fight outside the Mall Marlands.
Witnesses saw a group of teenager boys and girls fighting in the entrance to the centre under the covered area prior to the incident.
The teenager who has been arrested is from Southampton and is being questioned at Central police station.
Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident to contact Shirley CID on 0845 045 45 45.
