A HAMPSHIRE sex offender who went "missing" after failing to declare his whereabouts has been located in France.
Police have traced the man and informed the French authorities.
The man was one of 11 sex offenders classed as missing by Hampshire police last month.
The force has since managed to trace four of them.
Deputy Chief Constable Ian Readhead said every effort was being made to find the seven who remained outstanding.
He said: "We are talking about seven offenders, all of whom are at the lower end of the offending criteria.
"We are continuing with active inquiries to locate them."
