STAFF at a Hampshire supermarket have made a desperate plea to the company’s new boss to improve their working conditions.
But they are not asking for more money, better equipment or more time off – they want a better playlist.
Workers at Morrisons in Totton have begged incoming chief executive David Potts to change their tunes, as the songs played in the shop are getting repetitive.
Mr Potts has obliged, adding 9,000 songs to the store playlist including hits from Beyoncé, The Cure, U2 and Texas.
He said: “Our staff told us that music in our stores was getting a bit tired. We want to listen and make shopping and working with Morri-sons a better experience. That includes coming to this new musical arrangement with our colleagues and customers.”
The new music will go live today.
