Southampton became a sea of colour yesterday as thousands of people turned out for the annual Vaisakhi parade.
The procession of music and dancing led through the streets of Southampton marking the anniversary of the Khalsa.
Families came out onto the street to watch or follow the parade led by a float carrying the holy book the Guru Granth Sahib.
The celebrations began at 10am today when the Sikh flag was raised at Southampton Civic Centre.
People then gathered at the Sri Guru Ravidas temple in Derby Road, Southampton this afternoon for the parade which will visit each of the city's temples.
