HOW do you depict war? In the case of Totton College Performing Arts Students it is through a moving and highly personal account of one family’s experience of war from the First World War to the campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Written and directed by teacher Neil Gibbs, the show, at Hangar Farm Arts, combines music and drama, dance and movement. It is carefully paced and scenes are framed with real visual flair.
While Abbie Legge (Julie Arnold), Michael Clarkson (Mark Arnold), Henry Dowd (Roddy Arnold) and Jasmine Wrann (Clara) in particular are worthy of mention, all the students approached their roles with real passion and commitment and worked well as an ensemble.
This was an original and interesting piece of work that showcased to the best advantage the strengths of this talented cast.
